The Coalition's mission is to promote nature-based solutions that meet high integrity standards. These standards are based on ICVCM's Core Carbon Principles, enriched by requirements to ensure positive impacts on biodiversity and socio-economic development. Each member of the Coalition therefore commits to upholding and integrating these principles in the development of relevant carbon frameworks and regulations.

Nature+ Coalition promotes Nature-based Solutions as credible and science-based responses to climate change and biodiversity loss. By advocating for policies that recognize and reward NbS, the coalition works to channel carbon finance towards projects that protect, restore, and sustainably manage forests and ecosystems, ensuring long-term environmental integrity and tangible benefits for nature and local communities.
Ensure the Environmental Integrity of Methodologies
Nature+ Coalition upholds robust scientific standards and works to ensure the credibility and consistency of carbon methodologies at European and international levels. The coalition advocates for transparent, science-based frameworks that guarantee real, measurable, and permanent carbon benefits — ensuring that every credit issued reflects genuine climate impact and aligns with best practices in ecosystem conservation.
Promote Corporate Transparency
Nature+ Coalition encourages clear, accurate, and responsible communication on the use of carbon credits. The coalition supports the implementation of transparent claims and disclosure practices that help companies demonstrate their climate contributions with integrity, in full alignment with emerging international standards such as VCMI, thereby strengthening trust and accountability across the voluntary carbon market.
